Becoming an associate member
The associate members of F.I.C.B. are organizations or associations which support the wine brotherhoods, such as associations of wine producers, tourist offices, associations of sommeliers or wine museums.
The conditions for admission are specified in the Statutesand the Rules of procedure.
The membership application should be made using the application form , to be returned duly completed and signed by the President of the applicant organization (or the equivalent top executive) having the power to commit it legally, together with a brief history and succinct information on the membership and activities of the applicant.
Among the advantages of being an associate member:
- Contribution to the international promotion of the values and traditions that our Wine brotherhoods advocate for the production and tasting of quality wines;
- Our bilingual website www.winebrotherhoods.org, which we are developing to make it a truly international reference portal on the quality, traditions and culture of wine and thus increase its exposure to internet users interested in the world of wine. Our active members benefit from an individual page in the website on which the corresponding associate members are referenced with a link to their site, thus increasing their visibility and promoting their own image and events. The website also contains information on F.I.C.B. and its activities.
- The network of contacts between our members, which is a source of inspiration, information, mutual promotion and collaboration between our members;
- The priority to participate in the international biennial F.I.C.B. Congresses and other F.I.C.B. sponsored events. The next Congress will take place in Macedonia in the Spring of 2018;
The membership fee for 2017 for associate members is 100€. The initial admission fee is 50€.
Associate members are admitted by the Executive Committee, upon presentation by their sponsoring FICB active member.
